


3rd Grade + Under Summer League
WHAT: 3rd Grade + Under 7 games
Our goal is to provide a league where developing, beginners feel safe, welcomed, and encouraged to gain game experience and develop their confidence!
This league is best for beginner players who need more game experience, may get called for violations periodically, and are still developing accuracy to score and fundamental game IQ.
DIVISION: Recommended for developing beginners
(semi experienced 6yo-beginning 9yo)
Example: 6yo with 1-2 seasons of team experience and 9 year old beginners who benefit from developing on 8.5ft rims.
Coed, Girls, Boys teams
Taking first 3 teams to register
GAMES: Full court (side rims) 8.5ft rims
TIME: 8 min running quarters. 1 minute in-between quarters, 2 minute half, last minute of 4th quarter is stopped clock.
TIMEOUTS: 1 full timeout per half, timeouts do not roll over into 2nd half.
WARM UP: 10 minute warm up.
FOULS:
Common Fouls: +1 to fouled team and ball back to fouled team
Shooting Fouls = +1 to fouled team and 1 free throw to fouled team
A) Technical Foul = Deemed unsportsmanlike in nature
1st Technical Foul “warning” player must sit for remaining of the quarter or if at the end of the quarter player
must sit for the following quarter
2nd Technical Foul out for game
When a technical foul is called: +2 to fouled team, ball back to fouled team, and Technical Foul Player
subbed out
B) Flagrant Foul= Unnecessary and/or excessive contact occurs
1 out for game
When a flagrant foul is called: +2 to fouled team, ball back to fouled team, and Player who committed Flagrant Foul subbed out out FOR GAME
Player will be suspended from the league: If a player is seated from the game on 2 occasions due to
technical or flagrant fouls, that player will not be able to play for the rest of the league.
MERCY RULES
No pressing allowed if a team is up 10pts (behind half court)
Defense must have both feet I the key if up by 20pts
Coaches please inform your families about the following spectator rules and seating prior to game day.
LEAGUE:
Each team will play each other twice. On the 7th game seed 1 will play seed 2 for Championship and seed 3 will play Seed 4 for Consolation. If there are 6 teams playing, each team will play each other once, 6th game will be a playoff round, 7th game will be championship game. Rankings for teams will depend on win-loss record. If there are ties, seeding will be determined by better net result of total points scored less total points allowed against tied teams (“point differential”) if needed.

TAKI FIT reserves the rights to refuse service to anyone. We have a zero tolerance for unsportsmanlike behavior including profane, violent, disrespectful, criticizing, or distributive behavior from coaches, players, and spectators. Such behavior will result in removal of game and possible termination from league without refund.
Hanalani School does require everyone to stay within designated renting areas which include: sprung court, bathrooms, and parking lot. Hanalani School also enforces no loitering after games, and teams will need to clear out within 15 minutes from the last game time of the day. Violations may result in termination of league without refund.
Limited seating available at the games, spectators may bring their own chairs and setup anywhere in the labeled spectating areas (across from players, sidelines, and out of walk way areas).
