    • 3 Chest Passes, Loop, Pass & Score

    • 3 Chest Passes, Loop, Jump Stop & Reverse Pivot, Release & Score

  • Decision Making: 2v2


VOLUNTEER ARRIVAL


3:30pm-4:00pm: PRE CLINC VOLUNTEER MEETING

  • Outstanding Students: Select 2

  • Follow the Leader Intro

  • Responsibility & Teamwork Drill: Ball Wave or Quarter Pass

  • Any injuries or limitations?

  • Suggestions

4:00pm-4:30pm: SET UP

  • Complete setup and hang all signs by 4:30pm


ATHLETE ARRIVAL


4:30pm-5:00pm: CHECK IN

  • CHECK IN STATION: (2 volunteers)

    • Greet families & athletes

    • Ask for athletes name and check to make sure they are on the roster. If not on the roster, have them register at https://www.ewhope.org/events/

    • Mark off they checked in for the day

    • direct them to put their belongings at the water station

  • WATER STATION:(2 volunteers)

    • Greet athletes, tell them to leave belongings in the designated water area.

    • Tell them they can shoot around or hang out in the tent and Remind them to go to the ohana tent when we begin

  • MINGLERS:Remaining volunteers

    • Interact with athletes

    • Get to know them, play games, and get them excited

    • Evaluate athletes while they wait to start and anticipate group assignments for athletes

5:00pm-5:10pm: A word from NHO Leaders

  • Assist getting athletes ohana tent, seated, and holding their ball in their lap.

5:10pm-5:25pm: Intro of Coaches & Expectations

  • VOLUNTEER OBJECTIVE:

    Volunteers will essentially be modeling what a “best possible student” looks like through your behavior and energy.

    This provides a role model of how the students are expected to perform in class. Positive behavior includes, listening to instructions attentively, answering sharply, encouraging hustle, and demonstrating with excellence etc.

WARM UP


5:30pm-5:40pm: Prepare the body for movement

  • Assist ATHLETES with warmup execution

  • TEAM WORK: FREEZE BALL


DRILLS & SKILLS

5:45pm-6:30pm: Ball Handling, Passing, Scoring

  • Assist getting athletes to designated areas with appropriate equipment

  • Assist in drill execution & be ready to create your own drills/games when groups fall behind

  • Modify drills for appropriate skill level when necessary


CHALLENGE


6:35pm-6:45pm: Fun team challenge to individual challenge, winner gets a prize!

  • Assist getting athletes to designated areas with appropriate equipment

  • Cheer them on and get the other athletes to cheer and be engaged!


CLOSING HUDDLE


6:50pm-7:00pm: Go Over Reflection Questions

  • What was something that was hard or challenging?

  • What is something you want to improve on next time?

  • What was the most fun about today?

  • GROUP CHEER TOGETHER WITH ENTIRE CLINIC TO BREAK
